I have, throughout my life, held a profound interest in the field of psychology, however, my life has taken a different path and I sought other career opportunities first. As such, I hold two Master’s degrees in law and practiced as an attorney, public defender, and family advocate. To expand my professional focus to include the whole family unit, I became a family mediator in 2011 and a parenting coordinator in 2020.

Even though my career in law and family mediation has provided me with invaluable experience, my desire to become a psychologist never subsided.  I thus pursued a further qualification in psychology and am presently registered as a clinical psychologist in independent practice with the relevant regulatory board. On a personal level, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have entered the field of psychology, where I am certain I belong, and which augments the professional contribution I am able to make.  It has been an honour to work with people of all ages and backgrounds over the years, and I am thankful to be able to continue working with adults and adolescents in my current role as psychologist. Human suffering takes a variety of forms, and work with people regardless of the nature of their difficulties, thus whether it relates to mood, anxiety, interpersonal issues, trauma, or any other challenging life experiences. My focus predominantly falls on the long-standing, often unhealthy, patterns which determine the manner in which we see the world, ourselves, and others in order to alleviate emotional distress and effect positive change. The therapeutic setting and relationship is thus of the utmost importance and I deem it a privilege to be able to be with another in this manner.
